Executive Summary
Iffat Hussain qualified as a chartered accountant in 1994, having completed her training with A. F. Fergusons & Co. Chartered Accountants, Rawalpindi (a member firm of PriceWaterHouseCoopers) 1984-89. She has worked as Manager Finance in M/s Sungas (Pvt) Ltd a LPG Company from 1991-1995, Assistant Manger A. F. Fergusons & Co. 1996-1998, Manager Audit S. M. Masood & Co. 2002-2004. She joined BDO Ebrahim & Co. Chartered Accountants as Senior Manager in July 2004.
She also has teaching experience and has taught accounting subjects as a visiting faculty member in institutions like Fatima Jinnah Women University, Rawalpindi, Fauji Foundation institute of Management and Computer Sciences, Rawalpindi and College of Financial Management Sciences, Islamabad during the period 1998 to 2002.
She has carried out audits in Petroleum, Textile, Manufacturing and Service Sectors including listed companies. She has considerable experience in conducting Audits and Financial Reviews of Non- Profit Organizations including several international NGO’s.
Iffat plays an active role in the training and developmemt of the Firm’s professional staff. In this capacity she has attended training courses of BDO International held in Bangkok on Risk, Controls, Integrated Audits, Compass 3 and S404 compliance. Iffat also participates at the Institute of Chartered Accountant in the capacity of a Committee Member on the Committee for Continuing Professional Development. Iffat joined the Partnership in March 2009.
